In 1840 there is known to have been a wooden gallery in the church, which was removed before the installation of the organ in 1866. From this gallery a bass viol, a cello and a clarinet are know, at various times, to have accompanied the singing.
The Organ was made by Messrs. Bevington of London and is regarded as a splendid instrument of its size and period. It was overhauled, refurbished and extended in 1992 at a cost of £8,000 met by local fund raising and bequests.
